Washing Care Instructions
Our sarees are handcrafted using traditional hand-block printing techniques. Proper care ensures the fabric and print remain beautiful for a longer time. Please follow these washing instructions carefully.
1. First Wash Instructions
- First wash should ALWAYS be separate from other garments.
- Use cold water only for the first wash.
- Do not soak for more than 5 minutes.
2. Color Bleeding Notice
Hand-block printed fabrics often use natural or artisan dyes. Therefore:
- Dark colors like Indigo, Maroon, Black, Red may bleed slightly.
- This is a natural characteristic of hand-block printed and natural-dyed products.
- Mild color bleeding does not indicate a defect.
3. Washing Instructions
- Use mild detergent only.
- Do not scrub or rub the fabric harshly.
- Avoid using any type of brush.
- Wash with hands gently; do not use washing machine for the first few washes.
- Do not bleach or use strong chemicals.
4. Drying Instructions
- Dry the saree in shade only.
- Avoid direct sunlight as it may fade natural dyes.
- Do not wring the fabric forcefully; let water drip out naturally.
5. Ironing Care
- Iron the saree on the reverse side.
- Use low to medium heat.
- Avoid ironing directly on the block-printed areas.
6. Important Notice
- All products are handmade; slight irregularities are expected and appreciated as part of the craft.
- No guarantee is provided for color, fabric, or print after washing.
- Handmade fabrics require gentle care to last longer.
